PEOX SDS Sieving Matrix

Our PEOX matrix is designed for size-based separation of proteins using SDS capillary gel electrophoresis. 

It is a low viscosity matrix, 80 cP, that contains the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (sodium laurel sulfate) that binds to proteins and imparts a charge that is proportional to the size of the protein.

It has high separation efficiency, demonstrated to be as high as 6 million theoretical plates, along with optical clarity for laser-induced fluorescence detection and good hydrolytic stability for long-term storage.

Inner-wall coated capillary is required. We recommend a polyacrylamide coating, which is compatable with PEOX polymer and can be purchased precisely cut to your length requirements with an optical window for LIF detection.
